Dexter Season 1
The first season of the crime series Dexter debuted on 1st October 2006. The season aired a total of twelve episodes. In the first episode, the audiences are introduced to Dexter, a forensic expert in blood spattering who works for the Miami PD during the day and turns into a serial killer, punishing people who have escaped justice, during the night. He is currently fascinated by a killer who drains the blood and freezes the severed bodies of his victims.
Debra finds a clue that might lead to the Ice Truck Killer who contacts Dexter after taking on his next victim while Dexter helps detectives Batista and Doakes in unraveling the mystery behind the murder of an undercover officer. With the Ice Truck Killer striking again, Lt. LaGuerta points to a potential suspect while Debra continues to look elsewhere and Dexter is reminded about his first victim who was a nurse and killed patients by intentionally overdosing them.Dexter begins to realize that the Ice Truck Killer is trying to send a secret message to him through his recent crime scenes, which forces Dexter to confront his dark personal history. Lt. LaGuerta takes the investigation in a new direction while Doakes continues to come across crime boss Carlos Guerrero and his assistants. The homicide division finds a mutilated but live victim of the Ice Truck Killer, which gives them a great lead in the case and Dexter follows a killer who traffics in humans.
While Dexter tries to cover his latest kill by using his sister's lack of experience against her, the Ice Truck Killer leaves a surprise dead body at the scene where Dexter has dispatched his latest victim. Dexter doubts the authenticity of the suspect who has been identified as the Ice Truck Killer while, Rita’s menacing and abusive addict husband, Paul is released on parole. Dexter suspects Dr. Emmett Meridian, a psychologist, of driving a patient who was a wealthy and powerful businesswoman to suicide and so decides to visit the doctor. However on meeting the shrink, dark secrets from Dexter’s past are opened up while Debra’s romance with prosthetic specialist, Rudy, continues to blossom and the real identity of the Ice Truck Killer becomes known to everyone.
